Security Issues Noted
In light of the
events of September 11, 2001 it is important to remind you that security
of our Municipal Utilities System has always been and continues to be of
a paramount concern. As our water supply is derived from
aquifers and delivered from a system of wells, access to our water is by
nature very difficult. Any individuals, such as terrorists or
others who would seek to violate the safety and security of our system
would find that our system is simply not easily accessible. With security measures in place, and
the active participation of our local police force and many other law
enforcement agencies, we are fully prepared to maintain our systems
integrity and/or quickly respond to any potential violation of it, and
bring any potential violator (s) to justice. In
addition, we continue to frequently review and revise our security
procedures to meet the needs of our users. Rest assured, we will
continue to do so.
